Build a property-specific history
Keep the pumping date, observed condition, tank size and recommended follow-up with the property records. Over time, those notes create a much better forecast than a generic reminder.
- Household size and seasonal occupancy
- Tank capacity and system type
- Last pump-out and measured accumulation
- Leaks or unusually high water use
- Filter and pump maintenance needs
Pumping is maintenance, not a cure-all
A tank can be pumped and still have a broken baffle, failed pump, damaged line or disposal-area problem. If backups return quickly, ask for diagnosis rather than scheduling repeated pump-outs.
